Candidates from left :Kamarul Ramizu Idris (Independent - contested in recent Bukit Gantang by-election)
Mansor Othman (PKR - Former USM lecturer, Associate Professor)
Aminah Abdullah (Independent - Ex-PKR, Former Penang Parti Keadilan Nasional Wanita Chief)
Nai-Khan (Independent- Malaysian Siamese, former Gerakan member)
And the winner isMANSOR OTHMAN
PKR won Penanti by-election while 3 other independent candidates have lost their deposits. This winning has been predicted by everybody. The interesting part to be analysed will be whether these independent candidates will lose their deposits. Personally, I predict that all of them will lose their deposits. But after too much publicity of so called PKR scandals by Aminah Abdullah through main media, my analysis becomes unstable and being influenced. At one point, I thought that Aminah might get more than 1/8 of the votes (meaning she would not lose her deposits). The actual fact is that Aminah is only able to garner 392 votes, coming third behind Mansor and even behind Nai-Khan.

2004 & 2008 General Elections
We should learn from our mistakes. To everyone especially political analyst, be more confident with what you think. Don’t get influenced easily by media, politicians etc.
